Red Monkey Signs Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 1 April 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to all quotations, orders, goods and services supplied by Red Monkey Signs (“Red Monkey Signs”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to the Customer (“Customer”, “you”, “your”).
1. Definitions
Goods means any signs, vehicle graphics, wraps, printed products, clothing, stickers, banners, displays or other products supplied by Red Monkey Signs.
Services means design, manufacture, installation, consultation, maintenance or related services supplied by Red Monkey Signs.
Customer means the individual, company or organisation purchasing Goods or Services from Red Monkey Signs.
2. Quotations
2.1
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
2.2
Quotations are based upon the information available at the time of quoting.
2.3
Any changes to quantities, dimensions, specifications, artwork, materials or installation requirements may result in revised pricing.
2.4
Quotations exclude any work not specifically stated within the quotation.
2.5 Site Survey and Quotation Accuracy
Where quotations are based upon customer-provided measurements, photographs, drawings or information supplied by third parties, Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to amend the quotation following a site survey or inspection if actual site conditions differ from those originally presented.
Any revised costs will be discussed with the Customer before work proceeds.
2.6 Variations to Scope of Work
Any changes requested by the Customer after quotation approval may result in additional charges and revised completion dates.
This includes but is not limited to:
Design changes
Additional vehicles
Additional signs
Changes to dimensions
Changes to materials
Changes to installation requirements
Additional site visits
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to issue a revised quotation where changes significantly alter the scope of the original project.
3. Deposits and Payment
3.1
A 50% deposit is required before any design work, material ordering, production or scheduling of work commences.
3.2
No work will commence until cleared funds have been received.
3.3
The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to withhold delivery, installation, artwork files or completed goods until payment has been received in full.
3.5
Interest may be charged on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
3.6 Scheduling
Production and installation dates are not guaranteed until the required deposit has been received and any required artwork approvals have been provided.
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to reschedule projects where deposits or approvals are delayed.
4. Cancellation
4.1
Deposits are non-refundable once design work, production preparation, material ordering or manufacturing has commenced.
4.2
Where production has commenced, the Customer shall remain liable for all costs incurred up to the date of cancellation.
4.3
Special-order materials purchased specifically for a project remain chargeable if the order is cancelled.
5. Artwork Approval
5.1
Customers are responsible for carefully checking all artwork before approval.
5.2
This includes but is not limited to:
Spelling
Grammar
Contact information
Website addresses
Telephone numbers
Dimensions
Layout
Colours
Vehicle details
Quantities
5.3
Once artwork approval has been provided, Red Monkey Signs accepts no responsibility for errors contained within approved artwork.
5.4
Any amendments requested after artwork approval may incur additional charges.
6. Design Services
6.1
All designs, concepts, layouts and artwork remain the intellectual property of Red Monkey Signs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.2
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to charge for additional design amendments beyond those reasonably included within the original quotation.
6.3
Vector redraw services are chargeable regardless of whether production proceeds.
7. Customer Supplied Artwork
7.1
The Customer warrants that they own or have permission to use any logos, images, text, artwork or other supplied materials.
7.2
The Customer agrees to indemnify Red Monkey Signs against any claims arising from copyright, trademark or intellectual property infringement relating to supplied materials.
8. Colour Matching
8.1
Colours viewed on screens, mobile devices, proofs or previous print runs may differ from final printed output.
8.2
Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.
8.3
Minor colour variations between materials, manufacturers, production batches and replacement graphics are considered acceptable industry tolerances.
9. Installation
9.1
Installation dates are estimates only and may be affected by weather, access restrictions, supplier delays or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Red Monkey Signs.
9.2
The Customer is responsible for ensuring safe and suitable access to the installation area.
9.3
Additional charges may apply where installations are delayed due to restricted access, unavailable vehicles, unprepared surfaces or other Customer-related delays.
9.4 Access Equipment and Specialist Access
Quotations are based upon the access requirements known at the time of quotation.
Should additional access equipment, traffic management, permits, road closures, scaffolding, cherry pickers, lifting equipment or specialist access arrangements be required, additional charges may apply.
Any such costs will be discussed with the Customer before work proceeds wherever reasonably possible.
10. Vehicle Graphics and Wraps
10.1
Vehicle templates are used for design purposes only and may not be 100% accurate.
10.2
Graphic positioning may require adjustment during installation to accommodate body contours, trims, handles, sensors, recesses and manufacturing variations.
10.3
Customers must notify Red Monkey Signs of any previous body repairs, repainting or paint defects prior to installation.
10.4
Red Monkey Signs accepts no responsibility for paint lifting, lacquer failure or surface damage caused by underlying paint defects, previous repairs or poor paint adhesion.
10.5
Removal of graphics may reveal ghosting, paint fade differences, colour variations or adhesive residue due to normal ageing and UV exposure.
10.6
Red Monkey Signs shall not be liable for such effects.
10.7
Replacement panels installed at a later date may show slight colour variation due to material ageing, weathering and production tolerances.
10.8 Vehicle Condition
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that any vehicle presented for graphics or wrap installation is structurally sound and free from loose paint, corrosion, failing lacquer, damaged bodywork or contamination that may affect adhesion.
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to refuse installation where the condition of the vehicle is likely to compromise the quality, appearance or longevity of the finished graphics.
10.9 Vehicle Cleaning
Vehicles must be supplied in a reasonably clean condition prior to installation.
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to charge additional preparation fees where excessive cleaning is required before graphics can be applied.
11. Outdoor Installations
11.1
Red Monkey Signs recommends vehicle graphics and wraps are installed indoors wherever possible.
11.2
Where suitable indoor facilities are unavailable and installation is undertaken outdoors, environmental factors beyond our control may affect the finished result.
11.3
These factors may include dust, airborne particles, insects, pollen, moisture, wind and temperature fluctuations.
11.4
While Red Monkey Signs will take all reasonable steps to minimise contamination and achieve the highest possible standard of installation, minor imperfections caused by outdoor installation conditions shall not be considered defects.
12. Signs and Building Installations
12.1
The Customer is responsible for obtaining all required permissions, landlord approvals, planning permissions, listed building consent and any other necessary approvals unless otherwise agreed in writing.
12.2
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that any structure receiving signage is suitable and capable of supporting the installation.
12.3
Red Monkey Signs accepts no liability for structural defects, hidden defects or failures within the building or mounting surface.
13. Delivery, Storage and Acceptance
13.1
Delivery dates are estimates only.
13.2
Completed goods not collected within 30 days may be subject to storage charges.
13.3
Risk in the goods passes to the Customer upon delivery, collection or installation.
13.4
Ownership of goods remains with Red Monkey Signs until payment has been received in full.
13.5 Dormant Projects and Customer Delays
Where a project is delayed by the Customer for more than 60 days following quotation acceptance, artwork approval or deposit payment, Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to review and revise pricing to reflect current material, labour and supplier costs.
13.6 Project Acceptance
The Customer shall inspect all goods and services upon completion of installation, delivery or collection.
Any defects, concerns or issues must be reported in writing within 7 calendar days.
Failure to notify Red Monkey Signs within this period shall constitute acceptance that the goods and services have been supplied satisfactorily and in accordance with the agreed specification, except where defects could not reasonably have been identified during normal inspection.
14. Warranty
14.1
Manufacturer warranties apply where available.
14.2
Warranty claims do not cover:
Fair wear and tear
Vandalism
Misuse
Neglect
Accidental damage
Pressure washing
Chemical exposure
Impact damage
Failure of paintwork
Failure of surfaces to which graphics or signage are applied
14.3
Warranty periods begin from the date of installation, delivery or collection.
15. Photography and Marketing
15.1
Red Monkey Signs reserves the right to photograph completed work for use in marketing, advertising, social media, website content and portfolio purposes.
15.2
Customers may request confidentiality prior to commencement of work and such requests will be reasonably considered.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1
Red Monkey Signs shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or financial losses including loss of profit, business interruption or loss of goodwill.
16.2
The total liability of Red Monkey Signs shall not exceed the value of the goods or services supplied under the relevant contract.
16.3
Nothing within these Terms and Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability which cannot legally be excluded.
17. Force Majeure
17.1
Red Monkey Signs shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control.
17.2
Such events include but are not limited to severe weather, fire, flooding, power outages, supply chain disruption, transport disruption, strikes or government restrictions.
18. Governing Law
18.1
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
18.2
Any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
